Although there's no actual Lictor column here for this week, I'd like to reassure everyone that there *is* a Lictor column, it's just somewhere else.
Best estimates have it buried somewhere deep in the trackless Iraqi desert, along with a lot of smelly canisters and a large missile that glows in the dark.
I fully expect the column to turn up any day now. The only reason it hasn't been found yet and published for your enjoyment is that some bloke from the U.N. Oil for Food program keeps turning up and kicking sand over the bits that stick up.
Once he goes back to Germany, I'm confident the column for this week will be found and put on display.
Until then, I'd like to yield this space to the President, who apparently now has a long list of pithy comebacks to Senator Kerry.
