JKJ

I swear.

Do you read me? I swear.

I do solemnly swear that if I hear anyone assert that the Jews killed Jesus, I will tear off their fucking head and take a shit down their ragged, spewing gullet.

Poor Frank Hargrove. He really put his foot in it, didn't he? He's just a tired old GOP foot soldier, sick to death of fellow politicos trying to leverage white guilt. Poor ol' Frank picked the wrong example for comparison.

I'm sure that the asshats who actually believe this Jews killed Jesus (JKJ) crap and who let it spill from their flaccid pie-holes when they're not too busy fellating goats would call themselves Christians.

And that just pisses me off, because I'm pretty sure that JKJ does not fall under WWJD.

Let's take a closer look.

History does paint a pretty grim picture at first glance.

Pontius Pilate really wanted to let Jesus off the hook, but the locals insisted that he die. Those locals happened to be Jews. Wow. So it's pretty cut and dried. I guess I can see how generations of morons might think JKJ.

In fact, history also shows us that the JKJ idea was popular when Christians were busy burning outcasts and hanging nonbelievers. (Ah paradise!) JKJ served as a great excuse to kill Jews. It even festered on in the Catholic church until Vatican II in 1965. Apparently it still clangs around ol' Mad Max's thunderdome, but he's not truly Catholic.

To the current crop of stubbornly fuckwitted microcephalics who wipe their ass with Christ every time they yap about Messiah-cidal Jews, I'd like to say this:

You are missing the point.

First, let's address the resentment over Christ's death.

See, from the info I've managed to gather about Christian belief and Jesus, he was born a man for a reason. He subsequently snuffed it for a reason.

According to Mark, Paul, and Hebrews (Hebes? I the Bible?), Jesus died a sacrificial death for us and for our sins. Jesus is the lamb and just as the lamb was the sacrificial receptacle for a family or community's sins, so does Jesus take on the sins of all humanity and bring us deliverance, or so I've heard. I quote from a crude sign I saw posted where my mom and dad live in rural Washington State: Christ died for sinners.

So Jesus died. *frowny face* But Jesus saved us by dying. *smiley face*

In other words, he gave his life to redeem the witch burners, the Jew haters, and the JKJ goat fellators. Why cheapen that sacrifice by judging and hating?

Now let's take on the whole "who killed Jesus" issue.

From what I've seen, Christianity tries to clarify the matter with the following logic: A: We are all sinners. B: Sinners killed Jesus. Therefore, C: We all killed Jesus.

Catholics (of which I now count myself one) extended this to the point that ogling the way a cute girl's panty lines lead down her ass cheeks to the unspeakable wonderfulness between her legs or masturbating with a cucumber to fantasies of Johnny Depp are actual hammer blows driving the nails that pierce the body of Christ on the cross.

But the JKJ Chistian-oid people don't seem to be able to apprehend either the necessity of Christ's death or the subtle collective guilt thing. They're too busy throwing stones, frustrated that the King, the actual King, not some clown clad in pompadour and gold lame, the King of Heaven and Earth was kicking up dust in the Middle East 1,974 years ago.

Where does the frustration spring from? Do the pseudo-Christians think that, if it weren't for a pack of hook-nosed Hebes, Jesus would have brought the rapture? Hallelujah and all that and shitcan the Bible. Is this what they want?

He had to die. There'd be no "come again in glory to judge the living and the dead" if he just stuck around his neighborhood and preached and worked miracles. Or maybe the JKJ faction imagines an alternate future in which a Jesus is like Hitler/Alexander/Genghis Khan and leads a Christian jihad to make the world safe for democracy.

Either way, if he hadn't been crucified, all the potential Christians would instead be Jews whose Messiah had finally arrived.

What the JKJ people believe is not Christianity. They have no room in their polluted minds for any Christ portrayed in the Bible, the certified Word of God. Their perspective is distorted by worldly concerns. They reject Christ every time their jaws flap JKJ.
