Out

The things in my cube:

Plush hedgehog, plush banana slug, plush Alien facehugger, Maneki Neko (left paw up), 2006 calendar showing a PBY, 2006 calendar showing a flight of restored Polik Arpov aircraft (I-16 Type 24 and I-153 biplane), many framed snaps of the kids (most are pretty old because I like to be reminded of how cute they were as babies), The Portable Elizabethan Reader for the train, a back scratcher from my mom-in-law, a bag of Kona coffee from my parents, Single-Variable Calculus because I like to flip through it and remember my math days, a beat-up balero, Chasley juggling balls, Republic of Tea Lapsang Souchong tea sample bag, a Canadian flag I won many years ago in a Canada Day trivia competition here at work, beat-up Sony MDR-CD570 headphones that my parents bought me when I first starting working here, big ol' box of Kleenex (not the Costco sandpaper provided by the company), Genesis "Foxtrot" and "Nursery Cryme" CDs, beat old Sony D-34 CD player I traded for with my father-in-law (it still plays discs better than the POS CD-ROM drive in my workstation and ripping CDs to my workstation results in bad music files despite trying several apps), box of Taj Mahal teabags, a big ol' bag of beef jerky, a jar of Trader Joes psyllium husks, Chapstick, nail trimmers, a bottle of Astroglide and a needle for pumping up the company soccer ball, lint brush, tea mug that needs cleaning, two huge blue Friends-style coffee vats, a stapler, statuette of Ganesh from a former employee, sample bottle of Fenjal Body Milk moisturizer that my wife brought home after working in a department store in Switzerland over a summer, pack of dental floss, LED taped to my monitor and connected to a doorbell switch and Radio Shack battery pack so people can get my attention when I have my beat old Sony headphones on, a mug full of pens with "A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work!", an Accusharp knife sharpener because I can't stand to use a dull knife, a framed block of "American Advances in Aviation" stamps from my mom, an couple of old Dilbert strips featuring Tina the Tech Writer not being a neurotic bitch, a printout of the ancient Greek alphabet, an old 8" floppy disk, a Bionicle, Lightsaber Attack! Yoda and Darth Vader still in the packaging because I haven't gotten around to opening them, a die-cast M1 Abrams, a vintage headless Han Solo figure, various Micronauts re-issue figures that my wife gave me so I could relive a bit of childhood, a Lego mech, a little Lego dinosaur, a couple of Lego wind-up cars, a Lego moon explorer vehicle with trailer, a couple of Grizzly Industrial catalogs for bathroom reading, a rearview mirror, a six-foot section of PVC pipe that I use to silence the failing ultrasonic motion sensors on our tall ceiling, and plush Rabbit with Big Pointy Teeth.

My CEO raises an eyebrow whenever we have clients on-site.
