The Shape of Things
- Circles
Circles are good because they look like boobs. Circles have that appealing springiness; if you squeeze a circle, it resists some but not too much. Circles are hard to control, as they do tend to stay in motion once put in motion. This trait also means circles help us to keep moving. Circles are often filled with chocolatey goodness.
- Squares
Squares are good because you can build things with them. They are pointy, but not too pointy. Squares are generally heavy and you should not drop them on your foot. If you are falling, you want to land on circles, and not on squares; but if you are trying to go higher, you want to stand on squares and not circles. Squares will protect you.
- Triangles
Triangles are dangerous because they are mostly point. Triangles can hurt you. If you exercise caution, triangles make good tools. Triangles can be used to poke things. Triangles don't roll.
- Ovals
Ovals are circles that are easier to insert. Ovals are smooth. Ovals are slippery. Things contained in ovals inherit the characteristics of ovals.
- Hexagons
Hexagons are the most mathematical of shapes. You can cover things with hexagons. Hexagons can be forced to roll, but generally don't; this is because their father was a square and their mother was a circle. Hexagons are solid. Hexagons provide power. Hexagons get along well together.
- Teardrops
Teardrops are evil. Teardrops remind you of circles, soft and comforting, but then they turn around and sting you. Teardrops are full of poison and castor oil. Teardrops poke holes in things. Teardrops wobble. Teardrops have thin skins.
- Moebius Strips
Moebius Strips have one side and one edge.
- Stars
Stars are pointy but are not as dangerous as triangles. Stars are solid. If you break a point off of a star it looks funny. Stars are light in color. Stars are polite. Some stars are blue.
- Hearts
Hearts are soft and cushy. Hearts are like teardrops that have given up evil. Like stars, hearts have points that are not very sharp. Hearts taste good. Hearts are sometimes glossy. Hearts rotate slowly.
- Rhombuses
Rhombuses are noisy. Rhombuses take up a lot of space. Rhombuses are yellow or gold. There are not many rhombuses.
- Crescents
Crescents come out at night. Crescents are cool, and crescents are green or blue. Crescents catch things. Crescents sit in water. Crescents have a sound like theremins.
